The Gentleman
One of the best movies I have watched this year.
Well, we are only in April but still… it’s a F***king good movie !!
This action comedy film written and produced by the amazing Guy Ritchie follows the story of Mickey Pearson, a cannabis baron in the U.K. Pearson wants to retire and sell his business but faced a chain of blackmail and schemes to undermine him.
I will avoid talking about the content of the movie and only admire the technic used by Guy Ritchie. The movie is told by Fletcher (Hugh Grant) to Raymond (Charlie Hunnam), Mickey right arm. Because it’s a story everything can be exaggerated or modified by Fletcher making the story funnier. This is the power of Guy Ritchie. Like Snatch we are always waiting for something to happen and it keeps happening !
Anyway… the cast is amazing, Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Jeremy Strong, Hugh Grant and some other surprise.
Like always, trust my recommendation and watch it without peeking at the trailer.
